Nielsen's July 2026 Gauge does not include a new Tubi share of U.S. TV time. The September 10, 2026 release says Nielsen adjusted its measurement parameters for Tubi in June 2026 and is evaluating the impact. Until that review produces a published figure, this page will not estimate one.

That is the whole update. The rest of the page is how to keep the older number labeled, what Fox's company share is allowed to mean, and how a local advertiser should plan while the cell is blank.

Tubi share of TV through the July 2026 release
Month Status in the primary release
April 2026 2.3% of TV. Last confirmed figure.
May 2026 Not named.
June 2026 Not printed. Measurement change under review.
July 2026 Not published.

The July release, in one sentence

Quote the footnote, not a chart that is not there: "In June 2026, Nielsen adjusted its measurement parameters for Tubi and is currently evaluating the impact of this change."

The same release does give other television figures. Streaming was 49.0% of TV. YouTube was 14.2%. Peacock was 2.6%. Cable was 18.7%. Broadcast was 19.5%. None of those is a Tubi substitute. Peacock's gain is a different app, in a month that included Love Island USA and World Cup simulcasts.

The last Tubi share we will cite

The last confirmed Tubi share on this site is 2.3% of U.S. TV time in April 2026, from Nielsen's April Gauge (released June 25, 2026). Nielsen called that a platform best at the time. The write-up, the audience notes, and the comparison with other April services stay on the Q2 2026 Tubi page.

Do not do this with 2.3%:

  • Do not call it the July share, the summer share, or the 2026 average.

  • Do not draw a line from 2.3% in April to a guessed May, June, or July dot.

  • Do not treat a Fox company share as if it were that line.

May's release named The Roku Channel at 3.1% of total TV and Paramount Streaming (Paramount+ and Pluto TV combined) at 2.3%. It did not name Tubi. June said several streamers gained minutes while shares were flat or slightly down, and it did not print a Tubi percentage either.

June Gauge August 18, 2026 No Tubi percentage. Measurement note.
July Gauge September 10, 2026 Not published. Change still under review.

What the June and July releases said instead

June (released August 18, 2026) was a World Cup month. Nielsen reported more than 84 billion minutes across FOX and NBCUniversal properties. Streaming's category share was 48.5%. Peacock reached 2.3% of total TV, its second-best share to date at the time, behind February 2026. YouTube remained at 13.8% of time spent among distributors.

July (released September 10, 2026) carried the tournament through the final. FOX posted the largest viewing increase among media distributors for a second month. Peacock viewing jumped 15% versus June, to 2.6% of TV. Streaming as a category reached 49.0%.

If you came here for "is free streaming still growing," the honest answer from these two releases is: Nielsen documented growth at YouTube, Peacock, and the streaming category, and it withheld a Tubi trend while it checks a measurement change. Category growth is not a Tubi growth rate.

Fox the company is not Tubi the app

Tubi is owned by Fox. Fox as a distributor is a much wider set of viewing: broadcast affiliates, Fox Sports 1, and other Fox television, plus streaming. Nielsen's distributor chart shows:

Do not swap these rows
Figure Month What it measures
Tubi 2.3% of TV April 2026 The streaming service, in The Gauge. Last confirmed Tubi cell.
FOX 7.4% of TV June 2026 Fox as a media distributor. Includes the World Cup on FOX affiliates and FS1.
FOX 7.8% of TV July 2026 Fox as a media distributor. +0.4 points. Nielsen cited another 36% bump on FOX affiliates.
Tubi, July 2026 July 2026 Not published. Measurement change under review.

A World Cup on broadcast television can lift Fox's company share without telling you whether Tubi gained or lost. Using 7.8% as a Tubi talking point would be a different statistic with the wrong name.

How to plan without a new percentage

You can still buy Tubi-style free streaming inventory. You cannot cite a fresh national share as the reason. Separate the two.

  1. Say April when you say 2.3%. Link the Q2 page if you need the audience description that went with that month.

  2. Wait for Nielsen on the trend. A measurement change means the next official number may not be comparable to 2.3% even when it arrives. Read the footnote before you chart it.

  3. Price the buy you are offered. National viewing share is not your CPM. Platform CPM benchmarks, still the 2024 Ad Age agency set, are on the CPM by platform page. Tubi's row there is $17.95 in that 2024 agency average, not a 2026 rate card.

  4. Judge the flight locally. Impressions in your service area, completion, and later site visits matter more than a national percentage Nielsen has not updated.

How to plan Tubi advertising without a new national share

Adwave runs paid media on Meta, Google, TikTok, Reddit, web, and TV from one prepaid daily budget starting at $30/day, with local radius or ZIP targeting and a first-party site tracker. Individual signups typically get a $60 starter credit. You approve ads before you spend. For creative tooling, use Wavemaker.

Service ranks that Nielsen did update for July, including YouTube at 14.2%, are on the Q3 most-watched streaming page. Category shares are on the Q3 cable vs streaming page.

FAQ

What is Tubi's share of TV in 2026?

The last figure Nielsen published that this page will cite is 2.3% of U.S. TV time in April 2026. The July 2026 release does not give a May, June, or July Tubi share. It says a June measurement change is still being evaluated.

Did Tubi grow over the summer?

We do not know from The Gauge. Nielsen withheld the number while it reviews the measurement change. Other streaming names did move: YouTube reached 14.2% in July, and Peacock reached 2.6%. Those are not Tubi results.

Why is Fox's share up if Tubi's is blank?

Fox's 7.4% in June and 7.8% in July are company totals in the Media Distributor Gauge, driven in those releases by World Cup viewing on FOX affiliates and Fox Sports 1. Tubi is one app inside a larger company. The company total does not fill in the app's cell.

Should I stop considering Tubi until the next Gauge?

No. A missing national share is a citation problem, not a ban on the inventory. Buy against your geography, your CPM, and your delivery report. Just do not claim a 2026 summer share Nielsen has not printed.

Where did 2.3% come from?

Nielsen's April 2026 Gauge, released June 25, 2026, as written up on the Q2 Tubi viewing share page. That page is the home for the April record. This page is the home for the later source check.
