MNTN is a connected TV platform for streaming ads, with QuickFrame AI video creation (first video free). Adwave makes ads from your website and runs them on TV, search, social and the web from one prepaid daily budget from $30, with no ad accounts to open.

MNTN suits CTV-first plans. Adwave suits buyers who want TV, search, and social in one buy.

How we compared Adwave and MNTN

We make Adwave, so this comparison comes from one of the two options.

We used the same six criteria for both products:

  • Channels you can reach from one budget
  • Who makes the ads, and what that costs
  • Cost terms and how you pay
  • Ad accounts and setup
  • Campaign controls
  • Measurement

When MNTN’s public documentation didn’t give a figure, we say so and don’t estimate one. If you’re also looking at other platforms, see all of our advertising platform comparisons.

Channels covered from one budget

Adwave covers more channel types from one budget; MNTN goes further on streaming TV. According to Adwave’s pricing page as of October 2026, one daily budget can include TV, mobile web and apps, Google (YouTube and Demand Gen), Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, and Google Search.

Each channel has its own budget floor: TV, Google, Facebook and Instagram from $30 a day; Reddit from $35 a day; Google Search from $67 a day; TikTok from $91 a day, which also requires early-access selection. Adwave’s FAQ says budget, audience size, creative, and content eligibility together decide what runs. A supported channel can still show as Preparing or Starting, so a $30 budget does not mean every channel runs at once.

MNTN campaigns center on streaming TV. Display ads that reach households who already saw your TV ad are an extension, not a separate channel plan. MNTN’s QuickFrame AI can export videos for other channels.

Who makes the ads

Both companies bundle ad creation, and many small advertisers have no TV commercial ready. MNTN said on its Instagram account that 97% of its customers have never run a TV ad before.

Adwave reads your website for offers and photos, then builds a set of image ads, social video, and a TV spot that you review and edit before launch. Adwave’s FAQ says campaign ads made in the app are included, along with chat edits and landing pages. Extra creation is billed from your wallet. As of October 2026, it costs $0.38 per image, $6 per social video, $6 per 15-second TV spot and $12 per 30-second TV spot. You can also upload finished ads.

MNTN’s QuickFrame AI lets you generate, edit and export your first video at no cost, according to MNTN’s June 2026 help article. After that, more AI generation may need a paid subscription. The same article describes it as a guided workflow: generate, then edit, then publish. MNTN has also released QuickFrame AI 3.0. QuickFrame’s July 2026 how-to guide says the tool supports direct publishing to MNTN Performance TV, TikTok, Meta and Google Ads Manager. For human-made production, MNTN offers Creative-as-a-Subscription (CaaS), which its campaign setup glossary says is available based on an annual MNTN spend commitment.

The practical difference is format coverage: MNTN’s QuickFrame AI makes video, while Adwave makes ads for whichever channels you run, including images, social video, and TV spots.

What each costs and how you pay

Adwave’s terms as of October 17, 2026, per its pricing page:

  • Daily budget from $30 to $10,000, paid from a prepaid wallet
  • No subscription, no contract, and no platform fee on media
  • Campaigns pause if the wallet can’t cover the day, and auto-refill is optional
  • Undelivered media is credited back
  • Agency licenses from $499 a month, with media at cost

Adwave’s FAQ adds that card deposits carry the processing fee shown at checkout, while ACH deposits have no added fee. You can review your ads before adding a card. A $75-a-day plan comes to $2,250 over 30 active days, and you can pause before then.

MNTN says self-service Performance TV has no contracts or setup fees, and that you pay for delivered impressions at a dynamic CPM, with platform tools, automated buying and measurement included in the media rate, according to MNTN’s activation page. CaaS is tied to an annual spend commitment. Tatari, a competing TV platform, describes MNTN as bundling its platform fee into the media price instead of listing it separately. Get MNTN’s current terms, including any minimum spend, before comparing totals. For another TV platform, see our Adwave vs Simulmedia comparison.

Ad accounts, setup and controls

Adwave needs no separate ad accounts. Its FAQ says Adwave places campaigns through its own connected advertising accounts, and you manage the ads, the budget, and the reporting in one place. Per how Adwave works, you paste your website, review the suggested audience and ads, then target a radius, ZIP codes, a city, or a national audience. Pausing stops future daily charges. If you’d rather open and manage Meta and Google accounts yourself, compare running your own ad accounts instead.

MNTN runs on its own platform account. MNTN’s glossary describes Ad Dayparting, which lets you block specific hours and days at the account or campaign level. Delivery is otherwise automated.

MNTN also offers Executive Ads, which serve your commercial to your own team at home. Its Executive Ads help article says the feature comes at no additional cost and that any visits or conversions that follow are left out of reporting. MNTN reports that about 20% of advertisers who served an ad on MNTN this year have used it. There is currently no option to limit how often those ads appear.

How each measures results

MNTN credits site visits, conversions and revenue to TV views through Verified Visits. Adwave reports website conversions through a tracking snippet. Neither approach alone proves a campaign caused the sales.

According to MNTN’s Verified Visits explainer, a visit is reported only if no other marketing event from another source, such as paid search, paid social, or marketing email, happened between the impression and the visit. MNTN says GA4 reports only same-session conversions for MNTN, so a gap between the two counts is normal.

Adwave measures with a tracking snippet you install on your site. You choose which actions count and can give them a value to report revenue and return on spend. Adwave’s FAQ points out that last-touch credit answers a different question than assisted conversions or a Lift experiment. Adwave does not guarantee sales or a return, and its forecasts are estimates. If you need to know whether ads caused sales that wouldn’t have happened anyway, run a Lift experiment or another holdout test on either platform.

Which one fits a small advertiser

Neither platform is right for every business. Fit depends on whether TV is your whole plan or one part of it.

  • MNTN is a reasonable fit, in our view, for a business that treats streaming TV as its main channel and wants Verified Visits reporting and QuickFrame AI video. Confirm current pricing and any minimum spend with MNTN first.
  • Adwave fits an owner or agency that wants TV alongside search and social from one prepaid daily budget, with ads made from their website and no ad accounts to open. See Adwave for small businesses for local examples.
  • Adwave’s limits: channel availability depends on budget (Google Search from $67 a day, TikTok from $91 a day), TikTok is still early access, and a supported channel can sit in Preparing before it delivers.
