AI builds your ad from a single prompt

July 21, 2026
Today we're launching Waverunner, and it's the biggest thing we've built at Adwave. Here's the one-line version: performance advertising on autopilot. You paste your website, Waverunner builds the ads, buys the media across web, TV, Google, Meta, and Reddit, and keeps improving from your own site data, all under one daily budget. Advertising that runs itself. It's live now at waverunner.adwave.com.
Here's the thing we kept running into. Advertising got split into a dozen jobs that don't talk to each other. One tool makes the creative. Another buys search. Another buys social. A TV vendor does its own thing. An analytics dashboard reports numbers that don't match what actually happened on your site. You either stitch that stack together yourself at night after running the business, or you hand it to an agency and hope. Waverunner replaces the whole thing with one product.
Waverunner is self-serve performance advertising on autopilot. It handles the three jobs that used to require three different vendors, and it does them together instead of in silos:
Creative. It reads your site and generates the ads: images, social video, and TV spots, brand-matched to each audience and sized for every placement.
Media. It buys across web, TV, Google, Meta, and Reddit from a single daily budget. Mobile apps, audio, out-of-home, TikTok, and Pinterest are coming next.
Autopilot. It measures results on your own site and keeps optimizing, adjusting audiences, budgets, creatives, and bids on its own.
One campaign, one daily budget, every channel. That last part matters more than it sounds, and it's the whole reason we built Waverunner the way we did.
For years the advice was to master one channel before adding another. Run Google until it plateaus, then maybe try Meta. It's tidy advice, and it leaves most of your growth on the table.
Your customers don't live on one channel. They search on Google, scroll Meta, watch streaming TV, and browse Reddit, often in the same week and often before a single purchase. When you advertise on only one of those, you're paying to reach people at one moment in a journey that happens across all of them. Worse, the channel you can measure easily (search) gets credit for demand that TV and social actually created, so you double down on the wrong thing.
Running across channels changes the math. TV and social build the awareness and intent that make your search and retargeting cheaper and more effective. Search captures the demand the other channels created. Each channel makes the others work harder, and you finally see the whole picture instead of one slice of it. That's the case for cross-channel advertising: it isn't about being everywhere for its own sake, it's that channels amplify each other, and a campaign that spans them outperforms the same budget spent in one place.
Waverunner is built around that idea from the ground up. It doesn't run five separate campaigns. It runs one campaign that happens to reach people wherever they are, and it moves budget toward whatever's actually driving results.
1. Understand. Paste your URL. Waverunner reads your site and builds a business profile with named personas, so it knows who it's talking to before it makes a thing.
2. Create. It generates your ads on creation credit before you spend a cent on media, so you see the creative first. Don't love a headline? Ask in plain English and it drafts the update directly.
3. Launch. Your channels move through Preparing, Starting, and Live, all under one daily budget that you set as a ceiling. You approve, it runs.
4. Measure. A single site tag powers attribution across every channel. Visits, conversions, and ROAS update as your tag fires, from your own data, not invented dashboard numbers.
This is the part we're most stubborn about. Most ad platforms grade their own homework. They report the conversions they want to claim, and the numbers rarely match your bank account.
Waverunner measures on your site. One tag (SPA-aware, with guided installs for Shopify and WooCommerce, plus server-side webhooks for Stripe, Zapier, or your own backend) tracks real visits and conversions across every channel. You get ROAS and CPA from your own data, and when return on ad spend genuinely isn't measurable yet, you get an honest dashboard that says so instead of a made-up number. If you want to understand how measurement works when ads run everywhere at once, our guide to cross-channel attribution breaks it down. You can even chat with your data in plain English to ask what's working.
And every move the autopilot makes is logged. It tunes audiences and the funnel hourly, budgets, creatives, and bids daily, the channel mix weekly, and it runs a holdout readout monthly so you can see the lift that's genuinely incremental. You get a weekly digest of everything it changed. Autopilot doesn't mean flying blind. It means the busywork runs itself while you keep the receipts.
Waverunner doesn't do subscriptions or contracts. You prepay into a wallet, and each live campaign charges its daily budget, which is a ceiling, the most you authorize for that day. Top up anywhere from $30 to $50,000 whenever you like, set a daily budget between $30 and $10,000, and pause anytime. Campaigns pause when the wallet runs dry, so you can never go into debt.
Creative, media, and attribution are all included. New accounts get $50 in creation credit to generate ads, and active campaigns earn 10% of every campaign day back as more creation credit. Making the creative is cheap on purpose: image ads run about $0.38 each, social videos and 15-second TV spots about $6, 30-second TV spots about $12, and edits about $1.50. If a launch day fails outright, that day is refunded automatically.
One thing we want to be straight about: Waverunner does not guarantee ROAS, leads, or sales. Nobody honest can. What we guarantee is the process. Results measured on your own site, an autopilot that logs every decision, a prepaid daily budget you control, and ads you can see before you spend.
Waverunner is built for the person who runs the business, not a media-buying specialist. Signup is passwordless: give it a website URL and an email, and we send a one-time code. That's the whole onboarding.
If you live in AI tools, Waverunner plugs into them too. Connect the assistants you already use (Claude, Cursor, and any MCP client) through the Model Context Protocol and your API key, then pull reports and manage campaigns programmatically. The same autopilot that runs in the background is available to your agents.
If you've been following along, you saw us launch Wavemaker recently, our AI tool for generating video and image ad creative from a URL or a brief. Waverunner is the natural next step. Wavemaker makes the creative; Waverunner makes the creative, buys the media across every channel, and optimizes the whole thing on autopilot. If you want hands-on control of your creative, start with Wavemaker. If you want the ads made and run for you across channels, start with Waverunner. Same engine underneath, different amount of steering wheel in your hands.
What channels does Waverunner advertise on? Today it runs across web, TV, Google, Meta, and Reddit from a single daily budget. Mobile apps, audio, out-of-home, TikTok, and Pinterest are on the way. The point is one campaign that reaches people wherever they are, not five campaigns you manage separately.
Do I need marketing experience to use it? No. Waverunner is built for business operators, not media buyers. You paste your URL, review the ads it generates, set a daily budget, and it handles creative, media buying, and optimization. Signup is passwordless, just a URL and an email.
How is Waverunner different from an agency? An agency is people and retainers, usually with their own dashboard and their own timeline. Waverunner is self-serve and always on, with no contracts, a prepaid wallet you control, results measured on your own site, and every optimization logged. You see the creative before you spend, and you can pause anytime.
How does the pricing work? You prepay into a wallet and each live campaign charges its daily budget, which is a ceiling you set. There are no subscriptions or contracts, and creative, media, and attribution are all included. New accounts get $50 in creation credit, and campaigns earn more creation credit as they run.
Does Waverunner guarantee results? It guarantees the process, not the outcome. You get results measured on your own site, an autopilot that logs every decision, a daily budget ceiling you control, and ads you can review before spending. No honest platform can promise a specific ROAS, and we won't.
How does it measure results? A single site tag powers attribution across every channel, with guided installs for Shopify and WooCommerce and server-side webhooks for Stripe, Zapier, or a custom backend. Your ROAS and CPA come from your own site data, and the autopilot runs a monthly holdout to show genuinely incremental lift.
Waverunner is live. Paste your website, see the ads it builds, set a budget you're comfortable with, and let it run across every channel while you get back to running the business. Head to waverunner.adwave.com to start.
Advertising that runs itself. That's the whole idea.
